- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- salt to taste
- 1/2 cup chopped methi leaves/ fenugreek leaves
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1tsp haldi/turmeric powder
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp minced garlic cloves
- 1 tsp chopped green chillies
- water as required
Wash the methi leaves atleast thrice to remove all the dirt and strain the excess water using a strainer.In a bowl add in flour salt to taste, red chilli powder, chopped green chillies, turmeric powder,cumin seeds , minced garlic and chopped methi leaves.Combine all the ingredients and add water to form a dough.Cover and keep aside for 10-15 mins.
Heat a tawa on low flame.Dive the dough into small portions as you would for a paratha. Dust the rolling platform with some dry flour and start rolling the dough into a paratha.Place on the hot tawa and cook both side for atleast 5-6 mins until cooked, drizzle oil around the edges and flip the paratha.Make all the other parathas in the similar way and serve hot with pickle or mint yogurt dip.
